  • MACRA and MIPS Dinner
    18:00 -20:25
    2017-05-11

    May 11-12 MIPS MACRA Invite

Learning how to comply and financially benefit from your successful efforts

MACRA legislation affects you! In most circumstances, if you see Medicare patients your Medicare payments will be affected, positively or negatively, based on your commitment and performance in the MIPS program. Merit-based payments are now then norm and more of your payments will be tied to MIPS each and every year. Commercial payors will be doing the same thing.

Please join ASPA, with industry experts Julian (Bo) Bobbit Jr., JD and Greg Andersen, CPA/ABV as we are offering a free MIPS educational event for ASPA members. Join us on May 11th or May 12th for a wide ranging educational seminar on MIPS and what it means for your practice. In addition, we will be offering a deeper dive into the specifics of MIPS and how to leverage other programs to help you achieve success.

In our MIPS Education Program we will provide meaningful information for your practice including:

What is MIPS in detail and what does it mean for your practice in 2017 and beyond

Readying your practice now for MIPS participation

Understanding MIPS reporting, scoring elements and their financial weights

Understanding new elements of reporting outside your practice (coordination of care)

Taking advantage of existing Medicare programs to help fund your MIPS efforts

Easing the practice resource burden of data collection, compliance and reporting

Understanding ways to maximize the reward side of MIPS payments

Learn in 2017 when the stakes are low – 2018 and forward is a game changer for your practice

MIPS is a requirement if you participate in Medicare. Avoiding it amounts to negative payment adjustments that will approach 10%. Meeting the goals and measures can amount to positive payment adjustments totaling 10% or perhaps significantly more based on scoring. Cost management and practice improvement activities (a new reporting category) will account for 45% of your MIPS score by the 2019 performance year. You need to understand these elements. The program started in 2017 and your action in 2017 is required in order to prevent negative payment adjustments.

ASPA members may attend one or both events at no charge. Arizona Foundation Members are also included at no charge. If you are not an ASPA member, you may still attend. ASPA asks for $15 per attendee to cover the cost of the event.
